All good things must come to an end. I have to go back to work tomorrow. I could legally stay out for two more weeks, but I don't have that much vacation and some income would be nice. This sure has reminded me that I am not as young as I hoped I was. I thought I would be out two weeks with the second week pretty much being like vacation. Wrong! I have been out four weeks and I still get tired easily. I am only going back part time this week and next week I will be back full time. My how time flies when you're having fun.
Yesterday we went over to Scott's for Tiffany's Birthday party. She is four. I think she was overwelmed, she didn't seem to know what to think about all this attention. It was really cute. As always it was great fun to get together will all my family.

Well, as I promised, here are some pictures of Thriller. I just put a couple that I thought were cool. I can't wait to go again. Christmas is over and so is my surgery, so I guess I will just have to get better and get out there and experience life. I do have some good news and some bad news to share. The good news is that my oldest son Scott and his wife, Franci have taken in three foster kids. They are ages 3-9. Two boys and a girl, just like they have. Their names are Justin(9) Dennis(5) and Tiffany(3). Sounds like they are fitting in pretty good. The bad news is that my oldest sister Susan tried to commit suicide last Thursday. She has been severly depressed since her daughter passed away. She is in the hospital in Provo. I pray that she recieves the help she needs. I am hoping to get over to see her this evening.

OK, so it's been awhile since I wrote. Not much happening to talk about I guess. I did have a good time a couple of weeks ago. I went down to Thriller at Tuachan with all my daughters! We left Sat. morning and played around St George until it was time to get ready for the show. It was awesome! We stayed in a motel and played a little more before we came home. It was so fun to get away with no kids (ok, mine were there) and no men. We decided to make it a semi-annual affair. Once a year is not enough. Can't wait until summer so we can go see "Cats". I have some pictures I will post as soon as I can get the red eye out.

Not Much Happening

It's hard to write things in here when nothing is happening. So here is a short update. I have lost a couple of pounds and I am trying to keep up with the walking challenge at work. I didn't do well at all last week with the walking because I was sick for several days. It's hard to go out walking when you're in bed sick. I am starting new this week.

Here's the Deal

I have doing a lot of thinking since Becky died. She was healthy. She walked every day and kept active. I don't do anything to help myself. So, after the shock of her sudden death, I decided that it was time to do something. I joined Weight Watcher's Online and have been following the plan for about a week now. I will weigh in on Monday (at work) and see how I've done. We are doing a Walking Challenge at work too. It came at the right time. If we stick to the plan for the six months we will receive an Ipod. That is a pretty good incentive. I decided that I would go for it, so that is the deal. I will keep you posted on my progress.

Reality Bites

I lost an old friend this week. Becky and I grew up in the same small neighborhood and went to the same schools together from elementary through High School. We got married at the same time and had our first two children at the same time. We lost touch with each other through the years, but we had reconnected some in the last few years. She died suddenly without warning. Good for her, not so much for her family. It is a slap in the face when someone dies that is your age, not from cancer or overdose or car wreck or suicide, just part of life. It makes you think

Last week my grand daughter Whitney called and said "Grandma, can me and Hailey have a sleep over?" Well who could resist? I said absolutely! They came over Tuesday night and stayed most of Wednesday. We had lots of fun. We painted our fingernails and toenails. We had a craft project and mostly just hung out. It was lots of fun. I can't wait to do it again.
